When the going gets tough, they’ll look to the state for a bailout, or ignore the US way as NYC did and look directly to the federal government for a bailout, as well many another city, states themselves might.

These things are already included in our high taxes. They will just take the money normally allocated for these sympathetic services that we all want (road repairs, fire departments, police, libraries and seniors, etc.) and spend the normally allocated funds on the many frivolous projects. Balance the budget with the current high taxes we already pay.
