Who sent the mailers in Campos Vs Carrasco is irrelevant. The outcome was it was a proven, unfair race.

What was uncovered though was a network of friends. We know who the friends were and unfortunately, in some ways, SJI and Metro has lost some street cred for some of their other endorsements (Although they have always backed Carrasco)

SJI is trying to atone for that sin I think… I could be wrong… Then again if I uncovered a conspiracy of people who in past have succeeded in manipulating me, I’d be mad. It’d be like waking up one day to uncover that everything you had ever been told from them, or believed with in them, was a lie. It’s not just that they lied, but they distorted reality for you. I’ve been there in at least one of my personal relationships, and it wasn’t easy getting past it.

I hope your one sentence tort doesn’t quench whatever anger that’s driving SJI on these stories. What has happened is as dangerous to democracy as plutocracy. It’s taking the power out of the people, and putting it in the hands of a select few, who’s only real goal is to stay in power with each other.

Union cronies demanding that SJI “move on” is as predictable as Rush Limbaugh talking about Obamacare too. We get it, SJ Labor dislikes San Jose Inside and Koehn’s top notch investigative reporting. Thank goodness SJI doesn’t just move on because with the election right around the corner and the DA dragging his feet someone has to continue to sound the gong about the Campos corruption BEFORE the primary. God forbid we have another Shirakawa like situation where the election takes place, he wins and then MILLIONS OF TAX PAYER DOLLARS LATER there is a special election to replace him because he’s indicted or convicted for his role in the fraud. Campos is under several criminal investigations, San Jose voters need to wise up or we’ll be facing a Leland Yee situation. Shame on the Santa Clara County democrats that keep throwing labor, union and Democratic Party money at these sleezy criminal candidates.
