Another SJ small business killed not by Covid, but by Sara Cody’s overreaction to it. Eulipia/Stritch survived being in the hooker infestation in the late 70’s-early 80’s, several economic downturns, and false starts to make SoFA something; but it could not survive Cody. She put a stake in its heart.

i am known by steve as stritch’s biggest fan i am truly crushed the this giant of a venue island in the waste land of downtown san jose is gone. great sound system put together by matt and the ambiance of a top end jazz club? No way to replace this. I wish the new guy luck and hope some of jazz giants come back. I am truly sad about this.
