The varied creatures of the genus Crookus have seen their population diminished in the private sector due to habitat destruction and have been forced to retreat to the public sector habitat- and there they have discovered environmental conditions in which they have thrived. I’d sure prefer to have our legislators be less eager to interfere in the mutually agreed upon arrangements that grown adults have made among themselves. Nobody held a gun to the heads of those adults who made the judgement that it was to their benefit to be Uber drivers.
In reality, this AB5 is the result of our State legislature doing the bidding of their lawyer buddies who stand to cash in on the massive back pay settlement against Uber and Lyft that’s likely to ensue.
