Just an observation.

You seriously can’t be talking credibility and San Jose Spotlight in the same sentence. The Election cleared up any misgivings of credibility on San Jose Spotlight being an unbiased news source – it is basically an outlet for pushing a marxist agenda while subbing as a jobs program for college newspaper level journalists.

Please listen to our Mayor Elect Mahan who clearly needs our help supporting Democracy. It appears we have the opportunity to join our Mayor in asking his colleagues on the city council to stand up against the two faced labor groups who only believe every vote counts when the votes are in their favor.

I am in Almaden and I can assure you Chavez and the labor groups have been a disaster because they consistently oppose the will of their constituents. My neighbors and I are willing to submit statements stating why democracy is always the best process for electing representatives who will exercise the will of the people.

Thank you in advance for selecting democracy.

Wow. Five outgoing city council people who will be irrelevant in a year decades this. Of, For and by, guess raul and Chappie and Dev missed the class on democracy. Recall all of them.

Wondering did these folks also show at the County Board of Education when they appointed Don Rocha instead of election. Will they also show up at San Jose Evergreen Community College when they decide about election or appointment to replace Omar Torrres. I doubt it.

Also recall those council members still in office next year who voted for this charade.

San Jose Inside posted this news within 10 minutes after the vote. NBC Bay Area posted it 20 minutes later. ALL other local news media — broadcast, print and online — went to bed before the vote and didn’t report it until the next morning. The value of news organizations continues to be best expressed by the quality, relevance and timeliness of the content, not by the number of comments.
