That’s $1.5 billion per mile. None of that cost is coming from Biden’s deliberately misnamed infrastructure bill. As is true if all public works projects, it will not be completed at that number. Remember the cost overrun on the downtown light rail project? It’ll probably end up costing at least $10 billion to give the EastBay drug dealers, pimps, and whores their ride to and from San Jo.

Example: The bottle neck on hwy 880, was deliberately created! Lanes were reduced so that, “commuters will be in stopped traffic as they watch the lightrail wiz by, which will encourage more riders”.
I wish that was a fictional exaggeration. However this IS how our decision makers plan.
Freeway lanes are deliberately reduced creating stopped up traffic, PUNITIVELY, even after evaluating how much longer parents will be picking up their children, health decline such as blood pressure increases, as well as actual greatly increased accident injury and fatalities… So that commuters will be punished by stopped traffic to watch the light rail falsely appear to be a better choice.

As long as this type of decision making is allowed, and these types of leaders are in control of life or death choices… Santa Clara County business owners and residents are in actual danger.

More importantly, what about San Jose versus Oakland, the question being where the typical battle front or “conflict” location will be, Hayward being likely.

Meanwhile, what about real estate “plays” on the seized station location sites?
