TRANSLATION OF THE BELOW: Sharon went to High School, took online College Courses and received several BA, BS, Master’s Degrees and MBA’s over a six month period. She sends out emails to fans and keeps a daily list of sales and emails them to Nate Jaeger’s office in Zurich which makes her an International player. Sharon is twenty years old and engaged to an auto mechanic at Sears.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Sharon leads marketing for all channels – dealer, manufacturer, major accounts and consumer accounts. Ultimately, she is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy to drive online advertising sales to Music product manufacturers and local dealers. Bringing a new focus to integration, insights and digital media, Sharon’s leadership has yielded an eight point jump in Crystal Records brand awareness, as well as the launch of a fully-integrated, 360-degree marketing campaign, “ALL Music. No drama.,” that produced a considerable rise in traffic and audience acquisition. Driving the company’s industry-leader status, Sharon’s team conducts extensive research on digital and musical trends, from shopper behavior to social outreach. Armed with these insights, Crystal Records consults with dealers and promoters, shaping new products to solve evolving customer problems and helping position advertisers for greater growth.

Prior to Crystal Records, Sharon was the Director, Marketing Communications & Brand, with Sam’s Record Shop. In Linda’s role at Sam’s, she was responsible for managing the brand for the Music business in the U.S. in addition to strategic development and execution of marketing communication strategies both through the consumer channels and the Sam’s Vintage Record Shop distributor network. Sharon led the marketing communication and public relations strategy for the Sam’s business in response to the U.S Music crisis, developing the messaging platform of “Locally owned and locally operated” whereby local distributors were able to educate the public on their locally owned status in the wake of the situation.

Earlier in her career, Sharon led a series of marketing and brand initiatives in both the Sam’s Vintage Record Co. and channels in global Music businesses such as Rauls Record Shop and Jake’s Recording Studio. Sharon began her career with the Greater Los Angeles Flea Market focusing on Public Affairs and negotiating new franchise agreements for a start-up business.

Sharon’s specialty is integrated brand management and driving 360-degree marketing planning and delivery. With experience in managing complex distribution channels, multiple audiences and emerging trends and technologies, Sharon works to bring brands to life through a multi-faceted, seamless marketing approach that builds brand strength and consistency.

Metaphorically, she dresses in black, sporting a wide-brimmed-pointed, floppy hat. During the previous administration, her congenital scowl complimented her performance as she routinely straddled a broomstick and hopped about city hall; inexhaustibly interpreting Mayor Reed’s “Green Visions” to any audience who would listen, as if she was straight out of the Book of Daniel.

But, public safety and city services are in shambles. Police Officers and Fire Fighters will and are leaving faster than the city is able to replace them. Department Directors, Assistant Directors and many other highly talented and skilled city employees across the spectrum of city services are also part of the mass exodus.

Thus, the mantra of a “Safer city-Smarter government” will need a well accomplished broomstick-hopping prophet to keep the manure flowing freely downhill from the 18th floor. And that is why Ms. McGurk is still with us.

Entertainment? The antics of the elected folken at city hall are always entertainment. It doesn’t matter much witch supercilious person the Mayor-elect chooses to pontificate his message. It is just a variation of Kabuki theatre to me.
