In that regard, it is indeed a hoax. There is no reason for any city to expend even a penny on “serving” the homeless, who by definition, are not “residents”.

They are not. Scott Wiener, Buffy Wicks, et al, serve deeply moneyed interests and have a long track record now of only increasing unhoused populations while devastating local business and local economies.

The biggest issue I see here is with the staggering naïveté of the writer when it comes to the intent of state law. Real journalism would investigate.

From this article’s core to details like punctuation failure of the juvenile additions, you effed up here.

Normal, and especially better, people find his attitude toward more diseased parties to be welcome.

Same thing is happening down in Gilroy right now, and it’s driving the residents nuts. One group in particular is handing out camping stoves to the homeless, and camps are catching on fire as a result. Homeless are hearing, “FREE STUFF IN GILROY” and are starting to move there.

Same thing happened in Santa Cruz.

Same thing happened in San Jose.

Kudo’s to Cupertino for nipping it in the bud before it became an issue.
