Anyone who supports this nonsense is either detached from reality or working for a gov dept, developer or non-profit where they make $300,000+ salaries a year to conflate a homeless issue with a mental health/drug crisis and tell you we need “lots of $1M per door apt buildings.” Their strategy has failed – they have made affordability and the mental health crisis WORSE. Do not give them more money.

Also, look at Measure A, which is 20x smaller. It has wasted a lot of resource, and hasn’t come anywhere close to its goals. DO NOT vote to support this regional housing bond.

Sure, let’s borrow more money and waste it, while raising the property tax for every residences for the next 40 years. Then we can complain about the increased costs of rent as a result of increased property taxes and complain about the need for more money for affordable housing.

The legislature and HCD and other developer operating sites are bad.

And the MTC straying into housing policy with CASA was bad enough.

Yes, it wants to bankroll (and better influence) Bay Area housing policy.
