As mentioned in article, imagine needing to do work at college(your main), other schools(extra) AND drive an Uber on top for 63k, to be denied a raise that is at least a tad bit higher than current yearly inflation. 12% might be a tad bit too optimistic, but I’d say 8% or so is justified.

They get summers off. They get a nice benefits package that includes sick leave and a defined benefit pension and holidays off during the year. And I would have loved a 5% raise when back in the 90’s I was getting 1 or 2% or nothing, let alone 12%. But the math aint mathing. Unless there is a huge influx of dollars they will ensure there will be fewer of them in the future, because CSU won’t be able to sustain such high raises.
