In fact, if I try to decompose the numbers from the article 65% selected the white box while making applications. 34% identified ethnically as Latino or Hispanic so 65%-34%=31% white non-hispanic/latino. Hence, hispanic’s actually took the vast majority of the funds not the white non-hispancs. Of course, without the raw data no one can tell for sure which is probably why it wasn’t provided and a bunch of random slices of data that don’t add up were presented instead.
